Julianne MacLennan
Mechanical Project Engineer
Julianne MacLennan has a background in both product design and the built environment. She began her engineering career in product design where she used SolidWorks and 3D printing technology to design, prototype, and test products. Her passion for environmentally sustainable engineering practices fueled her transition to Ecotope to focus on mechanical systems and energy efficiency in buildings. Julianne has gained building design knowledge through both design and surveying energy characteristics of existing buildings. She has assisted in designing mechanical systems for newly constructed and renovated single-family homes, multifamily, and office buildings. Julianne also led comprehensive building energy audits across Oregon and Washington for large research projects, including the Oregon New Commercial Construction Code Evaluation Study, and the DOE-funded Low-Rise Multifamily Study.
