Charlotte Trelease finally won Ecopie, the semi-biannual pie baking contest, after her 5th attempt. The win is exceptional in several ways: she is the first female winner in a field dominated by men, this is the first win for the front desk staff and it was the first winning gluten free pie. “The win is especially sweet for me since I designed and created the coveted Ecopie crown 3 years ago,” says Trelease, “I really thought about all the features I’d like to have in a crown (comfort, forks, glittery pipe-cleaners) and made something I’d be proud to wear.”
